Get started | 1 - Set up a zeuz account

Choose between A: I already have a zeuz account and B: I don’t have a zeuz account.

If your company already has an account, but you, as an individual, don’t have a login to this account, you can set up a new account for evaluation purposes.

A: I already have a zeuz account

If you already have a zeuz account, log in to the zeuz control panel at console.zeuz.io. Create a new project and a new environment to use as you follow this tutorial, as shown below.

Create a new project

  1. Click + beside Projects to display the Projects: Create page.

  2. Enter a project title and description using alpha-numeric characters. The project title and description are your choice. We recommend using the same as your game’s title. For this tutorial, enter the following:

    Id: [Leave blank]
    Title: Test game 1
Description: Get started test project 1

Note: You cannot enter any text in the Id field; zeuz generates an ID for you.

  3. Click SAVE.

Create a new environment

  1. Still in the Projects page, select the project you just created, called Test game 1.

  2. Click + beside Environments to display the Environments : Create page.

  3. In the Basic Information fields, enter an environment name and description using alpha-numeric characters.
The environment name and description are your choice of text but for this tutorial, enter the following:

    Name: Test Environment 1
Description: Get started test environment 1

  4. Click SAVE.
You have now created an environment, so the control panel displays the Environments page.

  5. Still in the Environments page, check that the environment you just created (the one called Test Environment 1) is selected.
The zeuz control panel automatically selects the last environment you created as the current environment, so it should be already selected.

TIP
You can also check the ENVIRONMENT ID at the bottom left of the zeuz control panel to confirm which environment you are working in.
INFO: What’s an environment?

An environment defines a specific set of configurations for the zeuz services that your project uses.

This allows you to have specific configurations of zeuz services; different for game development, staging and your live game. You can also set up environments for the different platforms users play your game on, so you can seamlessly switch between them to test their efficiency and how cost effective they are.

Now go to 2 - Get the test project and SDK download.
